Doon Bakers was born out of a deep passion for baking that began years ago. Our founder, Anjalai, discovered her love for the art of baking during her travels to Paris and Japan, two countries renowned for their unique and fresh baking traditions. Inspired by the dedication, quality, and warmth of local bakeries, Anjalai envisioned a bakery that would bring these values to life back home.
The Beginning
With unwavering support from her husband, Upendra, who motivated her every step of the way, Anjalai decided to turn her passion into a business during the COVID-19 second wave in 2021. It began simply—delivering freshly baked bread to friends, family, and the local community.

Our name, Doon Bakers, pays homage to our roots in Dehradun, a city known for its rich baking heritage influenced by the British who once established their retreat in the serene hills. We take pride in continuing this legacy with a modern twist that reflects our founder’s global experiences.

Doonbakers Bakery opens its doors for the first time in Chennai, bringing fresh, artisanal bread and sweet treats to the community. Introduced signature products: Whole Wheat Bread, Garlic Bread, and Chocolate Cake.
